For over 30 years Turning Point Society (formerly the Central Alberta AIDS Network Society) has continued to respond to the multidimensional health concerns/needs of our community through a harm reduction approach. Simply put, harm reduction refers to policies, programs and practices that aim primarily to reduce the adverse health, social, and economic consequences of risk-taking behaviours such as drug use.
Safe Harbour continues to help our community’s most vulnerable people by providing camp outreach support, transportation, connection to housing, 24/7 shelter, medically supported detox, detox isolation, and indigenous online support.
