For over 30 years Turning Point Society (formerly the Central Alberta AIDS Network Society) has continued to respond to the multidimensional health concerns/needs of our community through a harm reduction approach. Simply put, harm reduction refers to policies, programs and practices that aim primarily to reduce the adverse health, social, and economic consequences of risk-taking behaviours such as drug use.

Safe Harbour continues to help our community’s most vulnerable people by providing camp outreach support, transportation, connection to housing, 24/7 shelter, medically supported detox, detox isolation, and indigenous online support.

Alberta Supports can help you access more than 30 programs and 120 services for seniors, people with disabilities, job seekers, parents and families, homelessness, financial assistance, abuse, and family violence prevention.

RED DEER HOUSING
AUTHORITY

Established in 1971, the Red Deer Housing Authority (RDHA) manages social housing owned by the government. RDHA administers 309 community housing units located in Red Deer, Sylvan Lake and Innisfail, as well as rent supplement programs.
